Appearance: Talea is, in a word, plain. Other than her height (a nice six feet even), she doesn't stand out in a crowd, and she prefers it that way. Everything about her seems to scream 'don't notice me', and it's actually happened that she's been in a room for hours and no one has realized it until she talks.

First of all, her hair is a plain mousy brown, nothing remarkable. She keeps it pulled back into a long braid that reaches the small of her back, and when unbraided it reaches even further. As for her eyes, they're a warm, homey brown color, the kind that seem to be constantly expressing a gentle smile, even if their owner isn't wearing that expression. Add to that her brown skirt and cream-colored blouse, and it's no wonder Talea's rarely noticed.

The one thing remarkable about her appearance (other than her tall stature) is the scars on her face. One runs vertically, going from her forehead, down over her left eye, and most of the way down her cheek, the end about level with her mouth. The second runs horizontally underneath the same eye, starting from a little beyond the corner, bisecting the first scar, and ending after passing the bridge of her nose. The scars are embarrassing to her, and she generally refuses to talk about how she got them.
