Northern's kitchen is a large room under an elaboratly vaulted ceiling. Hearths run along the outside wall while tables, with room to feed the entire Weyr, run down the middle. The night hearth, with after hours stew, is in it's own room.

Northern's candidate barracks is one long room. Each bed is surrounded by a large curtain that is the only means of obtaining privacy. Both males and females share the room if they are holdbred. Weyrbred candidates sleep in their usual places until Impression.

All weyrbrats report to the Creche for duties until they are twelve. At which point they have two choices: apprentice or Impress.
