Eris's eyes were lit with incredible curiousity, as she moved from the weyrbowl to press her body against the wall of the tunnel, following it ever upward as she molded herself against the shadows. Her bare feet, calloused from turns of hikes and hard stone, and the friction of constant dancing ignored the heat, and made no whisper as the blonde inched forward. Tribe was safely locked away, and Eris bit her lip as she glanced into the sandy warm alcove.
Rumor was, there were eggs in here. Not that Eris was getting close to the eggs, oh no. She simply wanted to glance at them... but most of all, she wanted to see the queen. Eris was well traveled, and had hear tales all her life about the golds, the rulers of dragonkind. Having never been lucky enough to see the creatures was a plague she fully intended to fix. However, she did not want to raise the golden mother's ire, and stayed completely still in order to adjust her eyes to the dark as she made out a few shadowy figures, but nothing more. Resisting the urge to curse, she waited, closing her eyes and remaining silent as she begged her eyes to cooperate.

Kirnin, the little brown firelizard, now getting to be rather larger than he had been and rather more lean, tucked into her pocket and peering quietly out, had heard the same rumors, though she had heard them from a witness, and doubting his fantastic tales, had come to see for herself. The sight of the strange, bare-footed blonde peering stealthily into the hatching sands, therefor, drew a bright-eyed smile from the girl, who moved softly up behind the stranger, leaning in over her shoulder and whispering, "What are we looking at?"
Little Baby, who still had no name, chirruped curiously and softly from his pocket, wriggling down to stay in place.

(Eris = O.O XD)
Eris very nearly lost it, the voice behind her nearly sending her into terrified hysterics, but only actually escaping in a very quiet, but quite panic filled...
"Eeeep!"
Clapping both hands over her mouth and trying to shake the sound of her pounding heart out of her ears, Eris shot a glance at the girl behind her, before exhaling. A rumble from the other side of the cavern, and Eris's eyes threatened to become the size of the eggs themselves, before she grabbed the girl's wrist and tugged her back out into the sun. Letting the stranger go, Eris sank onto the ground indian-style, before flopping backward in exaggeration.
"Shard it all, you scared the life out of me. I'm glad I put Tribe to the task of grabbing my weaving kit, otherwise he'd have gone nuts and tried to eat your face." Heaving a huge sigh, the girl sat up again to take in the girl in front of her with a critical eye. Small, but rather cute, like the fairy creatures her father used to tell stories about to all his children near the firelight before bed. Had she frightened her? Of course. But it was rather impressive that she'd snuck up on a practiced hunter, and Eris smiled a bit.
"That was pretty good creeping. I didn't even hear you. What's your trick? And was that chirp you?"

Kirnin smiled, poking at her pocket. "Out," she told it firmly.
For a long moment, there was nothing, but eventually, a small brown head popped out, followed by two folded wings and a pair of tiny brown pentadactyl grippers.
"This is ... well, mostly I just call him 'Little Baby'. I haven't figured out what to name him, yet. That's who chirped." She extracted the young flit--and indeed, he was still only perhaps a month old, if that--from her pocket, holding him in her cupped hands. "And there's no trick--you were distracted, and the ground here is soft. I'm Kirnin."
