The World of Inora A Weyr recovering from destruction…A Base overcoming madness… A river of death slowly growing stronger… In a world that shouldn’t exist, where does one stand? Pern| A world from the lore of old that was destroyed by a new subspecies of thread when a new planet appeared within its skies. It is the place where the tamed dragons originated. Forgotten at this present day, it was once an important part of Inora’s history. Inora| An inter-dimensional planet that is never quite substantial at any moment of time. With thousands of species from lore and fantasy, almost every creature imaginable to man can be found upon its surface. It became the new home to the people of Pern which also brought the arrival of the human species. Inora is a world of magic and mystery; a place where anything can happen. Kithkanan| Once the ancient hideaway of the Inoran dragons, after the war it is the only dragon haven in all of Inora that holds the same hierarchy of the old Pern. In honour of the Pernese, it carries the title of Weyr; however, Kithkanan doesn’t have the same internal structure. The Weyr is run by the three most capable Weyrwomen (queenriders). The Weyr uses an internal system amongst the weyrwomen where one or two weyrwomen act as though they are the senior Weyrwoman to protect the women leading. Peace may appear to reign on the outside, but not everything is as it seems. Darvulok| Since the time of the free riders, the Base, as Darvulok is known, has been a place where riders didn’t have to live within the limits of the Holds. Today, they struggle to remain the independent riders that they once were. Because of a poisoned land, their dragons are born weak and grow stronger than those who live in the Weyr. They honour the lifestyle of the free riders: earn what you own; fly without limits.Fantasy and magic collide in this world riddled with uncertainty and menaces beyond Pern’s wildest dreams. Inora is divided; however the lines of black and white are indistinguishable while riders and holders alike try to lay their claim upon the land.
Will you?

Note: Before you proceed any further along in this message, I shall bring to your attention that this message has two parts. The first part, which is by far the most fun to read in my opinion, is now known as the insane part. However, if you are intimidated by the large wall of text, or want a quick overview and not a random read, you may skip to the second part, which is the boring overview of everything that is going on. Without further adieu, I shall begin with the madness.
----------------------- Insanity --------------
Oh mai! Oh mai! Oh mai! It’s been a long time, kiddies, since you’ve last seen me around writing as I’m writing now… o.o Come to think of it, many of you haven’t seen me write as I’m writing now! Well, never fear, for Khay is here!
After our last adventure on the pirate ship, I thought that I should take things a little slower. So this time, we’re going on a trek through the jungle! That’s right, through the jungle! So, take out your machetes, and follow me. First, allow me to empty my pockets, and then I’ll be right with you.
- The rustling of a backpack is heard as a bazooka and a small pocket knife is thrown to the ground along with a plethora of explosives that seem to pop out of the various pockets that Khay has on her jacket. The young woman looks up with a sheepish grin, the pin of a grenade between her lips as she tosses said grenade over her shoulder and into a ravine. The resounding echo of screams is heard as a sinking thought settles in… People have ‘potentially’ dropped to their demise… -
Well, as you can see by the few people standing beside me, and my lack of arsenal, Inora is currently at a lack of members. We’re a small group of people, attending university and other various unimportant things, keeping up our roleplaying relationship. We travel together for the fun, the laughter, and sometimes the mass slaughter of sanity. It’s a healthy living, I must say! However, we’ll just keep getting smaller if we don’t open up our doors. So, here we are, welcoming you in to our friendly abode! Now onwards with our journey!
- Without a moment of hesitation, the young woman dives into the woods, machete posed and her eyes peeled. -
Deep inside this jungle of madness, there is much happening. On that tree to your left, there is a nice winter scenery painted upon its bark. It seems that the Weyr is in winter now, so that means that the Base is in summer. Of course, there has been many thieves hanging around which makes the Weyr a little bit of a dodgy place to go. You don’t want to have your things stolen or to be stranded without any food in the mountains of the Weyr, would you? Anyway, I wonder what’s up with that! Nevertheless, it isn’t important. Instead, watch out for that wild cat, if you please. It eats people like you.”
- A little fire lizards appears, thrilling and dancing through the air as it zips around, and rushes into the underbrush. It seems that there is no rest for the weary as Khay pulls out her trustee-remote control and a light saber and runs after it. –
This little rainbow coloured friend here is just telling me about all of the happenings at the base. Apparently there’s been murder. The poor rider who lost his dragon… It’s such a pity, really. I guess after years of fighting amongst each other, someone must have snapped. Of course, with the Base, anything is possible… But you guys wouldn’t be interested in the stories of murder and death, would you? Nah, I didn’t think so, so onward!
- Dragging Firey by the colar, Khay jumps into the murky water of a swamp and begins hacking at plants. Without thinking, she happily tosses various dangerous creatures over her shoulder having obviously forgotten about the people following her. It is only when they arrive at a high cliff with a zip-line over the wild rapids that she stops and smiles. –
So Firey’s first, - she says as she snaps the hook to Firey’s belt and pushes her off of the ledge, watching as the line snaps and Firey plummets into the water below. - As you can see, this thing works like a charm and isn’t dangerous at all… Now, now, don’t worry about Firey! I’m sure she’ll pop up somewhere near the end of our adventure. Besides, we can always just rent a new one!
Whaaaaat? You don’t know about rentable people? Well, on Inora, we’re starting something called Rentables. They are characters in the Weyr and Base (Leaders, Weyrwoman, Assassins, Masters, plot characters, etc.) who are available to rent at a small weekly fee. Unfortunately, a lot of those characters are still under intensive surgery. Once they're out, and looking shiny and new, they'll be available for rent. You see, Inora has a point system that is totally optional! If you wish to use it, you may. If you don't, hey, no biggie! We'll just plan other things.
- Skips along and leads everyone to a rocky bridge and begins to cross happily. -
You see, much like this bridge, Inora is still under construction, but we are welcoming people to our humble abode. Everything should be finished shortly, and though things may seem a bit complicated at first with the interactive character descriptions, and our dragon point system, once contests and mayhem begins, we'll all be enjoying ourselves. We're only complicated on the outside. ^^;
Besides, how many Weyrs do you know that has a cookie reward system instead of fame. That's right; we're part of the dark side. We do have cookies...
- Leads group to a large clearing where a plane is resting in front of a runway. -
Well, it seems like Firey isn't anywhere to be found near here. Guess I’ll have to rent a plushie of her until we find her on the next trip. So everyone, please embark on flight I3562 heading towards Antartica in docking station 1 so that we may continue our adventure.
P.S. If you have any requests, complaints, or questions please PM Khay here, or leave a message on Inora and I (or Firey, if she finds her way) will get back to you ASAP. You may also call our toll free line: 1-866-myinora (694-6672); or our old number that is only available during times of insanity: 1-800-KITHIAN (548-4426)

----------------------- Boringness -------------- Note: I was told by a couple of our members that this shouldn’t even exist. X3 Apparently they think that we’re too crazy and hyper for a boring, common update.
- 5 year old roleplaying site that is reopening to new members, and hoping for a jump in activity. - Located on Inora, and not Pern. - Dual rivalry in the Base and Weyr, both which are playable. - Two plots going on: thievery in the Weyr with a large storm on the way, and murder in the Base. - Rentable characters under construction, but they will be available shortly; characters such as Weyrwomen and important characters that can be played by members for a weekly fee. - Looking for new members to come and make this fantasy place their home as well. - Still under re-construction, but we’re ready to get started. It simply means that not everything will be available right away. - Interactive character descriptions: a new way of showing off your characters.
So come on in, say hello, and drop by and give us a chance. We’d love to see you.
