R'nor's amusement increased even more as the flitter studied him much as the Queen had when he stood for a dragon clutch. It was funny, even when she relented and began tugging at his ear. "Shards, let go, will you?" He cursed, though without the venom he might have used if she had really been hurting him. She relented and nudged an egg toward him, a curious gesture to be sure. He really hadn't wanted the Lime egg, but she wanted him to have it. Mothers knew best, or so he'd been told, so he'd have to trust that this egg was for him. "If you insist." He told the flitter as he scrawled his name on the shell in ink before placing it back at the little Queen's feet.

With the promise of eggs still to be claimed, Cresce crouched down to examine them. They all really looked the same to her, with little marks to distinguish between them. "Which one do you think I should pick?" She asked Basteth, her eyes still on the eggs.
I don't know, just pick one. The dragon replied as she trotted over to Manna and nudged the girl curiously. She'd never seen such a small human before and was rather curious about her. She sniffed the girl, sneezing a bit.
Rolling her eyes, Cresce turned her attention back to the eggs before finally choosing one. "May I have the Pineapple egg?" She aske Yelra politely, though she probably should have addressed the flitt first.

Yelra nodded, handing over the pineapple egg and the inky brush to the new junior weyrwoman. Tashi on the other hand had other thoughts and pushed the grape egg over to the girl as well. "She wants you to have both of them", Yelra explained with a shrug. "Not sure if you'll Impress both but at least you get two tries", she explained, turning to talk to some other drudges as they came in to examine the eggs.

Kirnin pursed her lips, considering. She did already have Little Baby, but perhaps a little company would be good for him. With Similath to take care of, she wasn't sure adding the extra work was altogether prudent, but on the same token, it would give her a chance to try to have a chat with Cresce, too, to salvage their friendship, and anyhow, it wasn't as though she minded the little things. Besides, it would certainly make Similath happy.
Well. Alright, then. That settled it.
To the little gold, she asked mildly, "What do you think, little lady? Should I have one? And which one?"
Chirping brightly, Similath butted Kirnin's side. :New baby? Really!? You promise!? Can this one be my friend, too? Can I play with him? Er... her? It? Can I? When can I see it? Which one do I get?:
Kirnin rested a hand lightly on the green's head, smiling. 'Ease off, there, Similath. It'll be a few more days, yet, she said.'
:...Oh.:

Brogan walked onto the sands a bit nervously. She had mostly kept to herself since her arrival and there were a lot of people here she didn't know. Despite her attempts to acclimate to the idea of Northern being her home, she still viewed the people here as "other," strangers or even enemies.
Valor perched on her shoulder, eyes whirling with excitement. The bronze was already used to being at Southern. He chirped happily at the sight of the eggs, and Brogan smiled a little. She had decided that a second flitt wasn't a bad idea, and besides, then she could be Impressed to something that was truly from Northern.
"Hello," she said quietly, nodding a greeting at Yelra. "Can I have an egg? I guess I'll take that one." She pointed at the Apple Egg.
