Evelie realized that this was the time to get going for the day. She had seen the sunrise--and had liked it--and now realized that this was the time to leave. She whistled for Dog, who'd been busy piling smooth stones for the two humans. The green firelizard looked at hers and chirped questioningly, but came. "I'm sorry, T'rel. I believe it's time for me to go and start on my dragonrider duties today. I was going to go to the Records Room later today to, I dunno, read them or something. We could meet up there later, if you happened to want to or something. It was very nice to meet you." She smiled and waved at him as the thought to her dragon: 'Htattath, time to go.' Then she started to walk away.
Htattath was about to answer Vijaith when she heard what Evelie said. Oh, drat, Mine is making this green leave you. Stay away from trouble! She said, and burst out of the water to take flight. Why now? Evelie heard the dragon ask. 'Because now was the right time to leave. You can go sun now if you want.' Htattath obediantly flew back to the Weyr.[/blockquote]

T'rel blinked, mildly startle by the sudden shift in behavior, then smiled. "Alright. If I get the time, I'll be by. At the very least, I'll have Vijaith let you know if I won't be able to." Waving affably, he watched her go, then plucked up the stones Dog had so obligingly piled, and, one by one, began to skim them across the surface of the lake, thinking.
:I always do, pretty green,: Vijaith replied affably. :Be well.: After a long moment of watching Htattath fly away, Vijaith purred cheerfully to T'rel. :I like her, Mine. You should spend more time with hers, so that I can spend more time with her.:
T'rel smiled, shook his head, and skipped another stone. Silly bronze.
